2022 On My Blog: A Year-End Review

I realized just today that I’d completely forgot to do my traditional year-end review of what’s been going on with my blog. That’s probably because so much has been going on in my life this year and will be going on next year. I’ll be graduating with my Master’s degree in May and I’m currently planning a wedding for a soon-to-be-determined date in the summer.

Life for me is wonderful right now, and part of that is all that’s been going on here with my blog. Cutting back to just one post a week and focusing on sharing Bible studies has meant less stress for me and it’s been wonderfully encouraging to see how many people are still reading and commenting with this shift.

Once again, the year’s most popular post was “What Does It Mean To Be Strong In The Lord?” This is the first post in my Spiritual Warfare series, and it’s the basis for my Armor of God Study Guide (which will be available in spring or early summer of 2023). 2021 On My Blog: A Year-End Review

With 2021 behind us, I’m halfway through my grad school program. I’ve slowed down posting on this blog because of that, but I’ve still posted every week and even released a new book in June (The Beatitudes, first in a Like an Anchor Study Guide series that will continue this year with Armor of God).

As I do every year, I’m starting 2022 with a look back on what’s been happening on this blog. Here, I have top 10 lists for most popular posts. Since I’ve added downloadable resources to the blog, I also have a top 5 list for those. Finally, we take a look at the countries around the world that this blog’s visitors call home.

The most popular posts list for 2021 changed quite a bit from the ones in 2020. There are still some posts about fictional characters on this list, but “What Does It Mean To Be Strong in the Lord?” took over the top spot. 2018 On My Blog: Top 10 Lists

2018 On My Blog: Top 10 Lists

Once again the Gregorian calendar advances by one year. Sticking with tradition, I spent New Year’s Eve with my cousin and sister and now I’m using my first post of the new year to share my blogging highlights from last year.

This has been a big year for my blog. It’s got a name now, for one thing, since we went from marissabaker.wordpress.com to LikeAnAnchor.com. The number of visitors is holding pretty steady from last year, though it did go up a little.

One of my big goals for this upcoming year is to continue growing my blog, but that’s a subject for another post. Today’s post is about looking back on the most popular posts of 2018 and celebrating all you lovely people who’ve been reading my work.

We’ve moved into another calendar year. As per a long-standing tradition, I spent New Year’s Eve with my sister and our cousin eating lots of yummy food and drinking sparkling grape beverages (Moscato d’Asti this year). And per a tradition established just last year, today I’m sharing post highlights from my blogging year.

I started doing this type of post last year with Top 5 lists. I’d wanted to do top 10 then, but there hadn’t been quite enough traffic to make the posts that didn’t make the top 5 lists stand out from each other. As you can see in the graph, there was quite a bit more traffic this year. The INFJ User Guide remains firmly at the top of this year’s list. In fact, all but two of my most popular posts are directly relate to INFJ types. It’s so cool to see “Religion And The INFJ” on the list for this year. It’s become the most commented-on posts on my blog and I’ve been thrilled to have so many INFJs with different religious (and a-religious) backgrounds sharing their stories.
