I have a new 30-day scripture writing plan for you. This one was inspired by my toddler. When I first started reading the Bible to her, she latched onto Psalm 23 and the “baa-baas” so I started looking for other verses that talked about sheep and shepherds. That grew into this scripture writing program.
As I put this list together, I was struck by the progression from God appointing human shepherds like Moses and David, to God being disappointed with human leaders, to God’s promise that He will take over directly as the Good Shepherd. Then, that leads to Jesus as both Shepherd and sacrificial lamb who saves God’s people/sheep from their sins.
